10: The last post

Hi, we have came to the last English post, and I want to thank to classmates and teacher for the good times. And, I hope all of us get pass the final test. Please God hahahaha. Well, today I will talk about this subject and my learnings. In general, I like this subject, especially when we do our English blog, and comments the post of our classmates. Everything about the blog was fun and relax. Also, I am a little shy when the teacher asks me because I don’t know too much about English, but the miss always was comprehensive, and not force anyone to answer, and I like that. I need improved many aspects about the English because I am not good in this subject, but I think that I will get improved by watching TV series in English. Many people tell me that they learn English when they watch TV series with subtitles or listen the voices in English. I would like to see series of drama or mystery. Outside the English class I often don't practice English, and this is so ba...

Post 9: Changes to my study programme

Hi, today I will talk about the changes that I could be made to my study programme: sociology in University of Chile.   When I choose to study sociology I look for study programme and I like the subjects, specific because the sociology involve many areas of social sciences. But, when I arrived to university the subjects didn’t exactly like I think it was. The workload of every subject was a lot, and I felt that I can’t with my studies, my family, the university world, friends, and kept the calm. About the length of studies, it is totally different to the study programme career and university says. The process of degree is so slow and difficult, defend of thesis is large, and this process exceed the five years officials. The building of the social sciences is very comfortable, but the first years the study space was limited, and the faculty never has been a cafeteria. The building is very beautiful, and around it there are many food stands. In my career, the technolo...

Post 8: Personal Opinion

Hi, today I will talk about four topics: violence on TV, and “barras bravas”. ¿What is your opinion about violence on television? First, my opinion about violence on television is very simple: this is so bad and disgusting. The TV is a massive media that keeps people informed and entertainment. Millions of people around the world watch TV, and learn about the life through TV programs. Obviously in the last years the TV lost importance and others media was taken the leadership. But, this does not mean that the way that TV handles its contents is not relevant, its contents might hurt the personal sensibilities. The TV is so dangerous because it shows an image of the reality that doesn’t the only and it makes people believe that different facts and situations happen the only way. This is so violent because force people's beliefs about, for example, the woman, the upbringing, the students, the political actors, and the love. This beliefs mark the imaginary collective, a...

Post 7: Someone I'd like to meet

Image
Hi, today I will talk about a person that I would like to meet. I would like to meet and talk with many people from the cinema world, but if I had to choose I would meet Xavier Dolan.  Xavier Dolan is a young filmmaker from Quebec, Canada. He became a movie maker very young when he was 18 years old and it was without lot money. His first movie was called: “I Killed My Mother” in 2009, and he was a principal actor from the movie, too. Also, he told that he wrote the script when he has 16 years old, and this is based on his own experience with his family. Later, he made three movies called “Heartbeats”, “Laurence Anyways”, and “Tom in the farm”, until his most famous and brilliant movie, according to the movie critics, called “Mommy”. At present, he is 29 years old, and his trajectory has musical videos, film adaptations, and movies where he had a role as an actor. Xavier Dolan is an important figure of the LGTBI world, and he is a quiet and funny person, according to the ...

Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

Hi, today I will talk about a postgraduate course that I would consider taking in the future. In the present, I am studying my last year of my career “sociology” and I frequently think about what I will do in the future. In this university, there are many postgraduate courses about childhood, Latin-American, Modern society, Psychologist, Feminism, Culture, Anthropology, etc. But, for study, a postgraduate course not is enough what someone wants it, or like a course. In the decision to study a course affect the money, the resources, the support of people and friends, your marks, and the references of teachers. Keep in mind the last, I think that study a postgraduate course is very complicated, but in a parallel world, I would like to study a subject about Latin-American culture or mental illness. I would like to study in other countries; because it would be interesting to expand my mind. This way, also I would travel and know other people, and wonderful places. I would like to stud...

My future job

When I think about the kind of job that I will get in the future makes me feel anxiety, and I try not to think so much. The future is very uncertain. But I would like to have a job where I can learn different things about the persons and society. I would like to travel for different places and countries, and learn about their cultures and costumes. I would like to work indoors, to do research about social studies and activities about that such as interviews, visit to people and communities, talk with social group, etc. I hope not to work in an office for really long, because it is so stressful and boring. I like to study a master in another country, not in Chile, because it is good to know other people and learn about other topics and people. I would like study a master or level about the childhood, young, mental illness, or Latin American society, because it is so challenging and important to know, and the sociology needs to specialize in these topics, for example in treating ch...
